Christian Action is a Hong Kong-based charitable organization established to serve the poor, the displaced, and the abandoned. Following the Christian example of love and mercy, their mission is to provide holistic care and empowerment to vulnerable and marginalized groups. They aim to restore hope and dignity to those who are socially excluded, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to build a better future.
Services
The organization manages a wide array of humanitarian and social development programs across Hong Kong and Mainland China:
Hong Kong Programmes
- Social Services & Humanitarian Programme: Provides specialized support, legal aid, and counseling for Ethnic Minorities, Migrant Domestic Workers, Refugees, and Underprivileged Families.
- Youth & Student Support: Offers empowerment programs, educational assistance, and mentorship for young people.
- Training Services: Operates vocational training and employment services to help individuals gain new skills and secure stable jobs.
- Social Enterprise & Sustainability: Runs “Green Collection” campaigns and eco-friendly initiatives to promote environmental responsibility and community recycling.
China Programme (Qinghai)
- Child Welfare Services: Operates children’s homes to provide a safe environment for orphaned and abandoned children.
- Rehabilitation Centre: Offers therapy and specialized care for children with disabilities and special needs.
- Youth Assistance & Bridge Programme: Supports older youth in transitioning from residential care to independent living, vocational training, or higher education.
- Medical Services: Provides medical interventions and healthcare support for children in need within the Qinghai region.
